It is intended to highlight the architectural and artistic value of some of the pantheons and monuments built by the same architects and master builders who left a mark of their great work through buildings and houses around the town of Alcoi. <\/p>\n<p>They were the same who worked, at the request of some families, in authentic works of art made in the San Antoni Abad Cemetery in Alcoi. We also visit the underground galleries recently rehabilitated and conditioned for the visit. Outstanding figures were buried here and they are unique in the Spanish state.<\/p>\n<p>This cemetery was built in 1885 as a result of the hygienic need to move this graveyard to a higher and more ventilated place, also forced as a result of an epidemic of cholera that produced many deaths.
